Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) is set to celebrate its 32nd anniversary by unveiling a new World War II History Wall at its main office in Makati City. This significant event will take place at 9:00 AM on August 5th, 2024, at the PVB Building, located at 101 V.A. Rufino corner Dela Rosa Street, Legaspi Village.
The WWII History Wall is more than just a commemorative installation; it is a heartfelt tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of Filipino World War II veterans, who are the original shareholders of the bank. Designed to educate and inspire, the History Wall will become a permanent feature in all PVB branches nationwide, offering visitors a glimpse into the valorous past that shaped the nation.
Strategically positioned in Makati, a city with historical significance due to its role as a strategic target during the war, the branch’s History Wall will focus on local WWII events, enriching the narrative with regional context.
“As we celebrate this important milestone, we honor the enduring spirit and immense contributions of our nation’s heroes to our society,” said Mike Villa-Real, First Vice-President of Philippine Veterans Bank. He further emphasized that the History Wall symbolizes PVB’s unwavering commitment to remembering the veterans and learning from the profound impact of their courage.
The unveiling ceremony will feature distinguished guests, including Makati Mayor Abby Binay, reflecting the importance of this event in honoring the legacy of the Filipino WWII veterans.
