Ballet Manila and Aliw Theater mark a triumphant return to live performance with “Rise!” A double bill featuring Lisa Macuja Elizalde’s ballet version of “La Traviata” and a pop program with “Ballet & Ballads”, the show brings together classical ballet, opera, live orchestra, and pop music in the inimitable Ballet Manila way.
Featured artists are Bituin Escalante, Jade Riccio, Ivan Nery, and the Ballet Manila performing company. Maestro Gerard Salonga is the musical director and conductor of a 60-piece bespoke orchestra.
