Nine of the Top 10 life insurance advisors in the country belong to Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. This is according to the results of the Philippine Life Insurance Advisors Awards (PhiLIAA), the first ever nationwide recognition program for life insurance advisors.

PhiLIAA has three categories, the most prestigious of which is the Gintong Kalasag Award, which is given to the Top 10 life insurance advisors in the Philippines based on their annualized premium. Among the Sun Life advisors recognized were Irma Su at 10th place, Simon del Rosario at 8th place, Odessa Saludares at 7th place, Guo Jie Huang at 6th place, Ralph Aarone Monzon at 5th place, Sheryl Toribio at 4th place, Ralph Delas Alas at 3rd place, Owdylyn Lee at 2nd place, and Jenith Mijares at 1st place.

Sun Life advisors likewise shined in the two other categories, including the Elite Awards, which honors those who have achieved a First Year-Annualized Premium of PHP 2 million, with a case count of at least 12, and a persistency rate of 85% and above; and the Asian Circle of Excellence (ACE) Awards, which honors the Top 10 Elite awardees from each of the life insurance companies in the Philippines and serve as the basis for the recipients of the Gintong Kalasag Awards.

Across all three categories, over 250 awards have been bestowed on Sun Life advisors in the ceremony held recently at the Rizal Park Hotel in Manila. PhilLIAA is presented by the Life Underwriters Association of the Philippines, the premiere association of financial advisors in the country, and is supported by the Insurance Commission.

“For Sun Life advisors, success is the culmination of their hard work, their service to clients, and their commitment to our purpose. This is why we are brimming with pride to see so many of them being recognized in PhiLIAA,” Sun Life Philippines CEO & Country Head Benedict Sison said. “I especially laud our Gintong Kalasag awardees for their exceptional performance. I am confident that this achievement will inspire them to shine brighter as they continue to uphold our industry’s noble mission.”

Now on its 129th year, Sun Life remains to be the No. 1 life insurance company in the Philippines in terms of premium income. Over the years, it has remained committed to its purpose of helping Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.
